Thats because the 1st on is in Australia dollars while the 2nd one is US dollars.

So it is... anyway, does anyone have any experience with these cards? As far as I can tell it's the only 512MB card on the market and it's fairly reasonable price-wise, but I can't find a single review of it anywhere, which makes me a little nervous about shelling out the $550. Any info?

That's because its a workstation video card so if you play on playing games with it you may find yourself disappointed in it. Gaming cards with 512MB of memory are rumoured to be out by the end of the year.
