  • startup error winxp

Hi, On boot up with the Winxp system I have recently received this message:
Stop C00021A Fatal System Error The windows subsystem process has terminated unexpectanly with a status of...[string of numbers]
The system has been shut down.

A second message then comes up:
Stop C00021A Fatal System Error The windows logon process system terminated unexpectantly with a status of ... [string of numbers]
The system has been shut down.

It has not been able to boot to the previous best configuration.

    Any ideas?

personally I'd say its time for a good format

and a clean install. (backup your data first)

Did u install any software or do anything different before the error happend?

and does it load in safe mode?

I did rebuild this whole thang a month ago! Been running great. I got a reply back from a techy suggesting I remove & examine the ram for burn marks on the gold leads. Sure
'nuf, red varnish lookin' on one lead. Took a 256 stick of ram outa wifes box, installed, booted right up:cheers:
