Monitor stuck in safe mode

I got a Dell Ultra Scan P780 I hooked a HP 933 Pavilion when I connected the monitor I got a message on the screen saying.
Monitor in Power Safe Mode
Activate Using PC. How do I activate it, the only thing on the PC is a power botton no reset nothing need some help. Foxbat

I am having the same problem, and i would like to know how you got the problem fixed. I have a dell with xp profesional and once i un-plugged the computer to move it, i reconnected and all i get is this message. My monitor stays black and when i press any button on the monitor it shows the message. How can i fix this problem.
