  • Can I overclock?

    Ill list my comp specs and maybe someone can show me how.

    AMD Duron 751 MHz, 512 MB SD Ram
    Windows XP Professional
    NVIDIA gForce 2 MX 400 AGP
    (64MB Memory - 200MHz Processor Speed - 256bit GPU)


    I know its old but please hlp.

    We will need the model number of the motherboard, It should be located on the PCB or you can use CPU-Z or similar programs to find out what it is.(Here is the link for CPU-Z) Scroll down till you see the 1.26 Download.

    Once you have the program running click on the "Mainboard" tab and type out the model number and Chipset for us.

    This is what we need to know.

            No man, he kicked the FSB all the way up to 1600MHz... :)

            Anyway, you can try grabbing SoftFSB or CPUFSB (google), but I doubt you can OC much, if at all. That's the type of system that just needs replacement, unfortunately.

              **** must have missed that ...

              Anyway like Yawg said you wont be able to Overclock using bios on an OEM board(compaq, IBM, Dell, HP, etc.). You will have to use one one of the programs he stated, and be very careful with how much you overclock, could kill that mobo since it was not designed with overclocking in mind.
