I want to learn how to identify motherboards manually (just looking at the physical board). So, right now I have an intel board in front of me. What else can I learn by looking at the board itself?

Re: New to Mobo Identification
CPU socket type, # of RAM and Expansion slots, back connectors, sometimes the chipset, manufacturer, color of the PCB...
Not much else. To get a positive ID on a motherboard as well as all the features, you basically have to memorize each board and its picture and feature list.
