Compaq Presario DVD

I only got a floppy with this laptor and need a DVD. Floopy has a smaller connector than the DVD's I have found so far. Can anyone help locate a drive?

DVD's attach to an IDE cable not a floppy cable.

this laptop has no "cables" it has what compaq call "future bay" and both the floppy and CD-DVD just push into the slot. the motherboard has a soldered fixed connector block which is the only cnnector for any removable drive

You may have a little better luck explaining your problem if you could give us a link (or at least a model number) to your particular laptop.
