Problem with video card?

I recently had to re-install my OS for my computer because it was infected by a virus. After I installed it, I noticed that I couldn't go online and when I tried to change my resolution, it said it was on default. When I checked video card information, it said I didn't have a video card. Can anyone help me, I don't know much about computers and I'm new here?

You need to load drivers for all of the major components on your system if Windows does not automatically pick them up. That means that your modem or network adapter (whichever applies in yout case), the sound card and the video board need to have their respective drivers installed so that your system knows how to properly communicate with that device. You can generally get up to date drivers from the component manufacturer's website.

how would I do that, apparently I can't go online. Is there any other way I can update it.

You obviously have access to the internet somehow . You will need to know what video card, sound card, nic card, and motherboard you have and then go searching for drivers for each of them from their manufacturers websites. Once you've found the drivers burn them all to disk and install them on the computer that needs them.
