    Windows updates

    Greetings,

    Has anyone had trouble installing this,Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Service Pack 1 (KB886903)


    Would appreciate any help.

    Sorry, I don't use it anymore. I installed it a couple of formats ago and it started changing some of the preferences I had set up throughout the system so I deleted it. It hasn't been seen on my machines since.

      Thanks for your response. So then just remove all net framework and forget about updates?

        I did simply because it had no real use to me. I had installed it to use the new Catalyst drivers (they require the .NET framework), but they didn't do anything that I couldn't live without so I removed it. These issues with changing settings may have been fixed since then, but I have no desire to mess around with it.

        So unless you have some utility or program that requires the .NET framework in place, you can just get rid of it.
