Nero 7: Vision - making dvds

im trying to make a DVD with a movie length CSI on it. the CSI is .avi. i follow all the promts and i make a dvd menu and everything. when it comes up with the virtual preview. everything works. but wen i burn it to DVD-R ther is no audio for the CSI episode. ther is audio for the menu though. i have tried doing this on 3 programs now. all the same.

Have you tried this with any other movie files? It is possible it was a bad rip.

i have only done one succesful dvd. it was also a movie length CSI in .avi. however, everything since then has been the same as the CSI I explained above (post 1). ive tried lots of different TV shows and have still not made another dvd that works.

umm... just a guess... would i have 2 convert 2 mpeg???

use gspot to figure out what audio codec is used in that avi file you are trying to make a DVD out of chances are the video is xvid and the audio is Ogg Vorbis. if the audio is in mp3 its probably in an odd bitrate that Nero 7 has issues with.
