Warning cpu has been changed. Please re-enter cpu settings in the comos setup and remember to save before quitting. I go into bios and do the settings but when I hit f10 to save it won't let me out?? ???

Maybe try resetting the CMOS?

it would help to know what motherboard/CPU you have.
I have a Abit AG8-V and Pentium 4 Prescot 630 that did that.. (second machine) it was a known problem and was fixed by flashing the Bios.

Try reading the signature...

In the EPoX boards I've run, I generally don't use the F-keys as shortcuts. Once you've reset the processor specifications, go to the main CMOS screen and arrow over to where it says to Save and Exit. If this isn't working, you may need to make sure the specs you're setting are what the processor can do. If you're overclocking, look around for some setting that may have to be changed to "Manual" or some such so your desired settings can take effect.

it would be easier if the sigs were visible at the bottom of our posts, and I don't think he was referring to that system in his sig...

The signatures are visible... IF you have them enabled in your UserCP.
