  • P3V4X with PC150 Ram?

Can the P3V4X handle PC150 ram? I know that I can overclock my board over 150mhz with PC133. I think that it should be fine.

And also, can this board handle any other type of ram other than SDram? DDR and so forth?

    Thanks,
    Mark

It can only take (SDR) SDRAM. It cannot take EDO, DDR, or Rambus. While DDR is an SDRAM, there are more pins on each stick of the memory and the the sole notch will not line up with any SDR SDRAM slot. I'm not sure, but the pin-outs could be different as well---if you managed to get the DDR in the slot.

Generally, a higher speed memory will work with a board supporting a slower speed. The problem that usually crops up is with chip densities in the RAM. I believe that board is new enough to not run into these problems, check your manual to make sure it'll support high-density RAM.
