Need help finding serial # on Asus Mobo

recently my asus a8n-sli mobo chipset fan stopped working (apparently a common problem for these boards) and i need to contact the manufacturer for a replacment but didnt know which number on the mobo is the serial number.

looking at this asus mobo http://www.xbitlabs.com/images/mainb...-mvp/board.jpg , where is the serial number? is it on the printer port thing? or is it the other ones...

Hard to see but I would think that the number you want is probably the one on the board itself (below the 24 pin power plug). If you kept the box your board came in then just have a look at the box for the serial number.
