  • .5 Multi Support P35-DS3R?

I have got an E8400 on the way, and want to know if my board will support the .5 multipliers. If not, any word on a new BIOS that will?

Don't know where this info comes from. I am using BIOS F11, and I cannot set .5 multipliers.
        Anyone else have some info?

Do you have the "Fine CPU Clock Ratio" option in BIOS ? You need to choose the +0.5 option

Well, I guess you're looking at the wrong BIOS. I shall have to wait until a BIOS comes out that supports it. No bigggie though. Why would I want to use 8.5 when 9 is available?

No, I'm looking at the right file, in fact most Gigabyte P35 with 45nm support have this option.
Did you press Ctrl + F1 on the main menu ?
Did you look inside MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.) ?

                    Re: .5 Multi Support P35-DS3R?

Did I press Ctrl F1? No. They stopped requiring that to see the advanced settings some versions ago.
Did I look in MIT? Yes.
I see that tech support is thin on this "Support" site. Will probably go back to a DFI solution soon. Good support on that website!

No, even though memory timings will show up in MIT you still need to press CTRL + F1 to access other options inside BIOS, including "Fine CPU Clock Ratio" I guess.

Right, you have to still press Cntrl + F1 to see all options. I have not used a .5 multi cpu so I am not sure that is indeed in this bios or not though. Also after you flash to the newest one, go in a select optimized defaults and save and apply then come back in and reset everything, and look for .5 multi
