What a relief - when I saw the title, I thought it was a thread about me

seems to be:D

Just out of curiosity - did he say how many 10's of thousands he spent to create this wonder car?

LOL!

A commondore doing that speed would fall apart.

And as for the 3 1/2 Hours from Melb to Warnambool...I ussually get from Home (40kms on the other side of Melb) to C'down in 3 1/2 hours, so that part is actually beleiveable, but the speed thing is just pure BS, 180KPH through all towns
what a ****in idiot, I mean, I see sooo many cops whilst coming and going, but , if that is the case, his nextdoor neighbor is one ****in dickhead, endangering peoples lives like that, what a ****,:hmph:

if you go to www.mustangworld.com in the faq, they have a fox-style mustang 5.0, supercharged, and they radar clocked it at 180-sumthin mph (dont know what that is in km/h). dont know if that helps the argument either way.

Bah, thatís only 289 KM/HÖ.A Ford Herrod XR8 would do that, and so would a Supra.

380kph?!

The latest Commodore GTS with 300kW (400hp) propelling it was clocked by a mainstream car magazines at 250+kph and they were say that's the fastest production car in Aust.

Assuming it was a the latest and greatest CSV 330kW (440hp), the best it could hope for is 260kph. We should all know the 6th gear in the T56 box is double overdriven - extremely tall for economical cruising, not performance. And the auto slushbox would have ran out of puff a long way back...

And assuming CSV even considered fiddling with V6's, which they don't - the best power you could hope for is 230-240kW, which is a long LONG way short of the power required to get a car up to 380kph. And then you factor in wind resistance issues with a large family car...... Not even a twin jet propulsion engine could get a Commodore up to that speed.
