View Full Version : Creating a boot disk in Win98SE

I know how to create the boot disk from the Add/Remove Program menu, but I thought I remembered that there were another 2 or 3 files that you needed to copy manually. I just can't remember what they are.

Thanx JM

Win 98SE should give you a usable Bootdisc, just as you described.

If in doubt, test it to ensure you can get your CD-ROM drive to work.

In 95 you had to add CD-ROM drivers, and change the autoexec.bat and sys.ini files.

Maybe that is what I was thinking of. Thanks Mr. C.

YW JealousMidget - just be sure to boot up with that floppy in, and make sure you can access your CD - Rom.
Don't want to find out too late - if there should be a problem.

copy xcopy.exe onto the disk coz it comes in handy!
