  • Cooling Fan Size

I have an Enlight Corp. EN-7230 case with a case cooling fan mount on the back of the case. None of the literature provided by Enlight states what size fan should be purchased to fit the mounts. I measured the spacing between the holes for the mounting bolts and it is like 71.5 mm. Does this mean I need a 70 mm fan? I have only seen 60 mm or 80 mm fans which are close to 70 mm. Am I measuring the size right? Does fan size correspond to bolt hole seperation? I realize I could basically buy any size and just drill the case to make it fit but I would rather not do that. Does anyone out there have this case and know the size?

Oh yeah, I visited their website and it was no help.

It's an 80mm fan that you need there. :smokin:

Are you saying that based on the size I quoted or do you know for a fact that my case takes that size fan?

The actual size of the fan is measured by the outside dimensions of the fan casing plus also I have 1 sitting right beside me and I've never till now actually measured the the hole centers before. But here is a blueprint of an 80mm fan for ya. ;)

and a papst 80cfm on top of my cpu...

Whell I would atleast IF the bord has the pin use the sensor pin for speed sensing if you have the pin AND yEs you can run fan off hard drive connectors and still check speed w sense pin even if powerbad! I blew a asus bord fan pin on the bord but left the blue wire on for the speed sense and it still reads the speed! even though im stealing power from the harddrive splitter.

also DONT WORRY the harddrive power cables all solder in same BLOB ON power supply! just look.
also using bigger wires DOES GIVEMORE POWER! we all know if you hook up speakers w jumper cables and then hook up the plate w jumper cables you will blow a fuse! whell DUH its always the POWER that makes the heat and the blockage of air flow always ****es it up .
PS. stealing a power supplys fan is usually the same size as a case fan! but wont have the speed pin! .
remember using a half inch high cpu fan will make the whole computer work better and remember CPU COOLER brand fans suck they lie they are NOT BALL BERRING Me and my dad sniped one open w snippers and they LIE their just fridge circle magnets witch melt! only the ones that say BALLberring on the bottom of the fan witch HOLD THE grease in w the sticker on bottom where wires come out are actually ballberring .
