I have cat5e cable that has has rj45 connectors that I use for the telephone. This says it will only allow for one connection at a time but that was talking about data. Do you think it would allow two lines like a typical splitter. If not I need something cheap that would split some lines. Thanks.

Re: RJ45 splitter question.
For telephone, it depends on whether more than one pair is connected to the jack. If you are talking about using network cabling for telephone, a standard splitter would probably work.
For ethernet, the correct two pairs are required for a connection. To "split" it you have to use a hub or switch.
A normal cat5e cable has four pairs available.
