Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P & Bios 8A

  • Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P & Bios 8A

    Anyone tried flashing 8A for this board ?
    All I get is an error message "invalid Bios Image"
    All previous bios up to & inncluding 7E update fine,
    Have tried different downloads & sources.

      Ok thanks for feedback, looks like i have an isue then & not all of us :)

        Others are reporting the same problem in the beta bios thread...

        No idea what the problem is, but the files could be corrupted?

          Problem seems to lie with Q-Flash.
          Went back to the Bios F7 and used FLASHSPI.EXE from there, renamed the bios file in Autoexec.bat and flashed to F8A without issue.

            I'm using it without issue, even used Q-flash to install it through my USB drive.
            i7 920 C0/C1 3841A
            24/7 OC: 21x183Mhz = 3.84Ghz @ stock Vcore/QPI voltages

              yes it seems wierd , been running fine on 8a now but only way was via above booty flash

                Keep in mind that F8a has a bug where if you resume from suspend the turbo will not turn on until you restart machine.

                I hope they release an update soon...

                  That's been the case with every bios up to 8a haven't been able to wake up from suspend, yet alone check turbo. So far for me, happy to say that this is the 1st bios i've had where it does wake up.
