I'd blame the ram first then the motherboard. I find it hard to believe the CPU would die suddenly like that, they almost never die unless they are murdered by an overclocker.GIgabyte GA-990FXA-UD3

Yeah Agreed. RAM, then MB, but dont forget about PSU. Start Pulling stuff of the Board that you dont use. IE try with 1 stick of ram, no HDD and stuff like that. yup I'd also blame the ram, I had the exact same thing happen to my system with a Q6600..
