If it's just the plain A7V based on the KT133 chipset then up to a 1GHz Duron or "Thunderbird" Athlon is supported though if ya unlock that Duron ya have now and change the multiplier you should get it to run around 900-1000MHz anyway. :smokin:

If you have the 1009 BIOS or better, you can put any 200MHz FSB Socket A chip in, which includes a 1.4GHz Athlon---just remember to check the FSB before you buy. And no, you can't run Athlon XP's on this board:(. You can run the newer Durons safely, however, just make sure yer BIOS is up to date.
