  • Ram Cooling?

About to buy some ram (512mb ddr333) and was wondering if I should pick up a kit to cool it like: THERMALTAKE A1092 DDR MEMORY & VGA DDR CHIP COOLING HEATSINK KIT? I won't be overclocking the system, but i was just wondering i fthis is worth it or not?

    Thanks guys:)

It's really not worth it, so long as ya case has good airflow that's all that's needed. :smokin:

if you have a window and you want tinsle it's good, else not needed, DDR accually runs at a lower voltage than SD-RAM, hence less heat.

The most that you would really ever need is a heatsink clamped onto your ram. I think Mushkin offers ram with heatsinks attatched (just to give you an idea).

Corsair do the same with their XMS range. <img src="http://www.corsairmemory.com/main/products/chip-xms.jpg"> ;)
