I am trying to network two PC's togethor with a D LInk DI-704P router. When I type in the router's ip address into my web browser i get a 404 error ( it doesnt work). But then when I type in the routers defualt ip address...it works, i get to the setup page. can someone please help..

You said the router's default IP address, then you also said IP address. Are you changing the IP address of the router and not able to access it? Or trying to access it via another IP address without telling the router that's it's new IP address? If you are changing it, tell us what IP and Subnet Mask you've given it.
