  • How do I change my ip in XP?

    I need to change my Ip in XP but dont know how I changed it Netork Properties and nothing happens im still recognized everywhere , I know in 98/Me you went to run and typed Winipcfg what do i do? :confused:

    if you changed it in Network Properties, then it's changed. To check your ip details, go to Start - Run and type cmd.

    That will bring up a command line interface. Simply type ipconfig and it will give you your basic IP configuration.

        As Beefy said you have to go in the command prompt and then enter ipconfig to have basic information,
        if you want to have more infos you do ipconfig /all.
        To release/renew your ip you just use the ipconfig /release and then the ipconfig /renew

        But to specify an ip you only have to change it in the Network Neighborhood.
