Hello everyone,

I'm new here and i must say that i find that this forum has a lot of interesting threads.
I'm also quite a noob with tweaking since i always was spending my time playing Everquest and other games
Now i hav been running 3D mark 2001SE a lot since a week trying all kinds of tweaks and overclocks just to get a good score (feels good ranking high in the list).

Now i found the Beta drivers detonator 30.82 for XP/2000 and was wondering if anyone has tested these and what they think about them.
Im running on 29.42 drivers from creative and i read that these 30.82 are generic drivers, i could just try the drivers but iŽd rather have some advise first from the experts.

I got a 3D blaster Pro from creative (GF256 ddr)

Another question, when i compared my resuslts online i saw someone with a pIII 500 running with a 141FSB and he beats my score by atleast 200, i tried to mess a little bit with jumpers but cant get my PC to Boot with a higher FSB than 103 and if i do that my Processor runs at 514Mhz which isnt really a comparison any more with that 500/141mhz.

Ok thats it for now

Greetings all

Wiggo Is he really talking about the 30.82's not .83's?

Oops, though I think he refers to the 30.82's as I havn't seen anything about 30.83's. :?:

Easier No problem. It shows people are paying attention. I went & looked for the 30.83's because I try all the new drivers just to see what they would do.

Did you find anything Peter?

FLACO I found no 30.83's just the 82's which I have installed with no apparent difference in scores in my rig as some have gotten.

Yea neither did i, I mean i get my drivers from guru3d.com.

I remeber you only had two pt difference or something like that, right?

It maybe that they have a few more stablisation factors designed into them to bring some others up but not benifit others at all. Drivers arn't always there to make an improvement to speed but to bring fixes also for known stability issues. ;)

:) For my rig, the 30.82's were not a point increase performer but may have made it more stable. That's hard for me to evaluate as I had no stability problems with the 30.30's.
