Since the heart attacks have been working (70hrs a week for the last month) on costing our department's move of about 3000 pc's to thin clients (read dumb terminals) running as virtual machines under Linux on a huge IBM mainframe (read gigaflops)....well it'll save us millions each year in desktop costs (**** I hope its been announced or I'm in deep doodoo) and it has won the race. No more M$ licences etc etc....a huge win for us linux brigade......

Bern I have sent you a pm....There would be the right channels to go thru to get all the bumf.... Air New Zealand has just done something similar for about 4000 systems.Comment
