    What is the best method to uninstall-Update ATI Drivers ?

    I recently purchased a new ATI 4850 to replace my old 3850. With Vista (32 Bit) . I contacted AMD and all they said was to uninstall old drivers first. Once you do that I know that Vista will download new drivers but does not allow you to manually choose drivers. As I have never done this proceedure before I would appreciate all suggestions.

    Use the ATI uninstall tool in add and remove programs. Then use winrar to unzip the downloaded file and double-click the .exe file. Follow the instructions.

      I have two items listed under Add-Remove programs listed for ATI:

      ATI Catalyst Install Manager ATI Technologies, Inc. 10/1/2008 13.9 MB
      Catalyst Control Center - Branding ATI 10/1/2008 0.55 MB (Asus 3850)

      Does it matter which is uninstalled first ?
