Just a thought.....alot of space under our avatar's seems wasted
a huge % of screen area

could this area be used for advertising rather than pop-ups
the post window could be kept to a minimum fixed size to allow this........while still allowing our avatar's to be distinctive

maybe it cant be done but Mr. Tweak it sure would be better than pop-ups i've already had 100's & better utilize screen area

anyway that's my $0.02 worth

I don't know what it is, but I haven't seen a pop-up for ages. IT seems like there is an unlucky few who manage to get everyone else's share of them. Which is unfortunate.

As for using the space under the Avatars, I don't exactly like that idea myself. The only reason some people have heaps of space under their AV is because they don't have a large signature, and they don't post much text. If you went and added ads under the AVs, then it would create more space under the sig, which is the opposite effect...

As far as I know the popups should not be showing to Aussie users, this is strange.

I need to run the popups till the end of the month at least in the agreement we are in. At that stage I'll chat to them about making sure the banner only popups (it's actually a pop under) once per day per person - If it becomes a really big concern to readers I'll get rid of them completely.

your post 8 lines text small sig.....still room for a small ad.
same with Mr.T's only 6 lines of txt
just seem's like a waste of valuable screem space the
ads would be small better than pop unders.....longer display time
dont have them on all the time....
if it cannot be done on this layout...... i think it yould be a good money spinner for a forum format.....hope i have copy right's on my idea pdv. c ....:D

PDV, take a look at the attached image. That's what I see of your post. Now, if you were gonna add an ad under your AV / details, it's gonna create another big waste of space under your post... Not what you want to do...

I dont have a sig....makes a diff.
Like i said earlier a set min. post size????? or ads only on posts that are suitable
Pop ups/pop unders.......may be in this area even over av's???
Mr.T & co. would know post area sizes. %'s of posts it would work on ect ect ect.
And many other issues i am not know aware of

Just kicking the idea around

any one else with any thoughts on the ideal Super Forum Format
rememrering it has to generate income

Started off not to bad 1 here & there.....then sometimes as bad as....... some of those other sites we visit now & again

I certainly havn't seen any and even though I do have a "pop-up killer" I seldom use it unless necessary. Maybe it has to do with your ISP. :?:
