X58A-UD3R & i7 920 temp issue

i need help guys if this is a problem or it is normal.

my setup is
X58A-ud3r borad
i7 920 chip @ stock
cpu cooler megashadow

my problem is my temp in idle on cpu is 49 and on cores are 47-52 is this normal? cause my friends are asking me why my temp is like that compare to them they also using megashadow. also i reseated it 3 times but nothing changed. is their anyone experiencing like this? need help guys thanks..

What paste are you using, compared to them? Are you maybe using too much?

Do you have worse case airflow than they do? Are your ambient temps much higher than theirs?

I do think that is warm for stock speeds for sure, especially with a good cooler. Are you sure you are not using too much paste, and that you have the cooler fully and tightly installed?

where using the same paste the one comes with the cooler and my room abient is 29-31c and on my friends 32-33c, ive reseated it using small ammount and its tight in cpu also.. some of my friends tell me that it is a motherboard problem. and sometimes when i start my cpu my 2 fans connecting in lower 3&4 pin power connectors in motherboard are blinking and then afterwards it will resume working...

Do you have your CPU Fans on the correct settings in the BIOS, and connected to the CPU Fan header (Not other headers)?

The lower header on the board, SYS_FAN2 will only run at half speed, so don't use that for your CPU.

yes i connect the fan on upper part 4pin connectors. my fan orientation is good.. thats why Im worrying in my temps...

Do you use two fans in Push/Pull? Do your friends you are comparing temps with use 2?

What BIOS setting are you using, PWM or voltage? And have you tried it the other way?

yes i use 2 cooler master 90cmf fans.. and my friend too..

In the BIOS PC Health section, you will find CPU Fan control.

Set that to PWM then test temps, then go back and set that to Voltage and test again. Then decide which is better.

Your friends might also be using different fans and that would matter too.

So any luck testing both settings yet? They are probably both about the same though, I just thought maybe one way or the other might not be working with your fans right is all.

yes its the same, i try change it to intel hsf but it came worse my temp become 57-59c on power on after 10 mins 55-59.. what is the problem now? i will attache the temp..

is that at stock clocks?? if so thats too hot for sure,what cpu voltage are you using??

yep thats the default clock.. heres my voltages i set cpu core on bios in 1.225v all default but iset it manually..

is c1e and eist enabled? enabled balanced power saving profile in windows 7 power options?? thats high for standard cpu voltage,heres my settings for 3.8ghz try those but with your stock clocks

i try that settings its just the same.. when i run some programs my temps go up to 61-65.. on stock clocks and on intel hsf. i dont know now whats the problem..
