I read an article in Max PC about the upcomming P10 Video cards. From what I gather they are going to use a 64 bit PCI. Now, even if it is backwards compatible to 32, does this indicate that future games may require 64 bit to be at optimum performance. The article is in July issy on about P. 37

THink it will be quite some time before we really have to think about that. If the other cards do not follow suit, game developers will think twice before developing games that require 64bit cards to run.

There is also 64-bit compatiblity. Until you get into the server oriented boards, you won't find a 64-bit PCI slot in your PC.
Gaming in the future will require a heftier card to run, but that's not what the P10 is aimed at---workstation graphics.

That and the fact that AGP is the way graphics is now, and will be going in the future, especially with the coming of AGP 8x... (though it doesn't make all that much different in performance..)

Beefy, is that a remote control in your hand in your avatar? Why not a joystick or game controller?
