Well my suggestion is to head on over to www.3dguru.com and try a few out. The brand new 31.00's are "fast".

WiGGo is right...just try them all out and run some test to see what gives you the best performance....the latest one doesn't mean its gonna be the one for you...

It's like potato chips, you can't try just one. It's part of tweaking to try a bunch to see what works for you.

Yup. I've used the 23.11's, but they were unstable for me despite many people having success with them. I've stuck with the 21.81's because of this.

ive been using 30.82 and out of the box settings on everything get 9763 on 3d2001se.
i just installed 40.41 and my score jumped to 10651!
no tweaking running system and software as totally stock.
This is the first time ive had any increase by just replacing the driver.
the frame rate in the nature test jumped from 41avg. to 77avg.
these are claimed to increase performance by 25% but you need to get a lot more posts byothers to tell how effective they are on others systems.
They are for win 2000/xp only, so it looks like 98's dieing a slow death.:flames:

Your results are similar to the majority of people. Great result!

I hear it (Det 40) helps in the Nature test---which the GF4 MX's cannot run due to the lack of DX8 compliant hardware.

That's where it made the largest difference for me.

For those who don't know how the score in 3DMark2001SE is calculated:

(Game 1 low res + Game 2 low res + Game 3 low res) x (10) + (Game 1 high res + Game 2 high res + Game 3 high res + Game 4) x (20)

A 20 fps a second increase in game 4 gives you an overall 400 (20 x 20) point increase.

so that explains why my mx440 and my 4600ti got such different score improvements, thanx DR. pete!:afro:
