  • 890FX issues with memory

Hi, current setup is as follows

    1090T (cooled by h50)
    Asrock 890FX(1.4 bios)
Gskill PI Series F3-17600CL7D-4GBPI (in the second set of dimm slots)
    HD5870
    2x640AAKS WD's in raid 0

systems run great - overclocks well but i think there is something wrong with the memory dividers, (specifically the 1600)

I can run this ram at 1833 speed @ 7-10-10-28-1T@ 1.65v no probs however if you try to drop the speed to 1600 and run it at cas 7 or cas 8 (or even cas 10) it locks up in windows.

The 1833 speeds were achieved using 'auto' and raising the FSB to 275 and was intel burn test stable, (cpu at 4GHZ HT@2400-2500)

Furthermore I wasn't able to get the board to bootup at 2000mhz or 2200mhz ram regardless of the fact that i can get the NB to 300/320 without issues.

    Anyone else noticed this issue?
