Firstly, hi there tweaktowners!
i'm wondering if anyone could help me with my ram frequency and overclock stability on my motherboard, i have:
Gigabyte P55a - ud4
i5 760 - 4core 2.88 ( when stock, lol.. :D )
OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C10 (2000MHz) Dual Channel ram
my current Oc is 4.3 ghz with:
1.472 vcore
20x multiplier
215 bclk
3440 qpi
1.31 qpi V
1.680 Ram V
0.820 Ram C
7-6-7-26-1T
( and isn't stable in any application that is memory intensive )
All power saving features, and turbo boost tech are disabled
ive tried with a miryiad of timings and voltages, upto the posted 2000 mhz timings from ocz of 10-10-10-30, im stuck at a 6x memory multiplier for any decent overclock, i've ( tentatively ) upped the qpi voltage, ram voltage, ram timings and core volts to try and compensate but to no avail, it simply wont get to windows if the ram is on a multiplier that puts it over 1600 mhz
if anyone has any advice i'd be greatfull, thanks!
EDIT ---
i saw another thread about a similar subject and tryed the advice therein, i upped the qpi volts to 1.41 ( and im scared to go higher tbh because im told that's pushing it allready )
my 4.3 ghz overclock is now stable under burntest and maxes out at about 80*c which is ok by me, but i still cant get decent memory mhz, i'm stuck at 6x memory multi @1290 mhz so any ideas other than qpi volts? i'd be very happy with the 8x multi because that would be around 1700 mhz and i'd feel i got what i payed for :P
