updated all your intel inf chipset drivers? if problem continues i would flash back to a bios that it doesn't do it with

tried all speaker set-ups like 5.1 mode and 7.1 mode as it may affect things

Hello BaronFel,

It sounds like one of the contacts in the audio header has come loose and would need to be RMA'd. If you've already tried various versions of audio drivers, chipset drivers, and flashing back to previous BIOS revisions, then it is most likely a hardware issue. I have a created case number for you regarding this issue: 974417. You can contact our motherboard RMA support at 812-282-2787 or RMA Submittal Form(USA and Canada Customers ONLY) (http://vip.asus.com/eservice/usa_rmaserv.aspx). Please reference case number 974417.
