what is the cause of freezing?

Im using a dial-up ISP, with 56kbps modem. When i open a page it freeze. Sometime the cursor keeps on blinking.

What do you mean by the cursor keeps blinking? Also what ISP are you running and have you had any problems with games or anything graphics related?

by freeze do you mean no internet traffic or the explorer window locks up, if its yer explorer window then maybe try updating to a newer version of internet explorer as it may be a corrupt file causing yer prob.
