  • Poor Raid Performance (Gigabyte P55A-UD3)

Hi guys, I bought a new pc and make raid0 with 2x500GB (Samsung 501LJ 16MB Cache 7200rpm), but i have poor RAID 0 performance... don't know why...

    My system specs:

    Core i5 750
    Gigabyte P55A-UD3
    Samsung 2x500GB
    GTX470

I Make two slices (100GB and 892GB), the two HDs have SMART, NCQ, Write Cache enables.

    Screens with HD Tune:

    First Slice (100GB)

Please help, I don't know what to do... I already update BIOS, drivers, rebuild raid....

Disable USB 3 and SATA 6 and see if that helps.

Are you using two graphics cards or one?

Do you have the array setup on the first blue Intel ports (SATAII_0 and SATAII_1)?

I disable the USB3 and Sata3 on BIOS e the same thing happen...

I'm using the HDs on SATA2_0 and SATA2_1 the two first port.

Hmmm, yes please test each drive one by one to be sure they both act the same.

Re: Poor Raid Performance (Gigabyte P55A-UD3)

LoL I'm confuse. I disable and delete de RAID and when i go to install W7, i see all my partitions from my HD before i made the RAID, they have all my DATA....

When i made the RAID i formatted the HD..

Maybe the poor performance on RAID its because the fragmented data on this HD?
            Don't know..

Anyway I installed W7 again without RAID, and make some benchs.

First partition with W7 Sata port 0 (2_0)

Second partition (With have my all Data, I remade one partition and format this)

Don't know what to do now.
The raid performance is right or not?
            My HDs have some problem?

Not sure what is going on?

I'd low level format each one, then try the RAID again
