    ... @ 220mhz! :D

actually, i see no difference between 220mhz OC'd card and normally aspirated one

is there someting that OC'ing the card actually is doing for me, or why bother to do it (other than just to say I CAN :toung: :) )?

Try running 3DMark2000 and see if there is a difference in score between the two settings. ;)

And did you see the difference?

Did you overclock the memory or just the core?

Often you'll find that OCing the core even by 30-40mhz increases speed only marginally, probably not noticably in games (except for subtle differences in benchmarks such as 3dmark).

Upping the memory speed, on the other hand, can yield far better results. Not too sure how the V5 overclocks, since it has 3 cores instead of 1, and a weird memory configuration, but good luck. :P

The Green Guy's name is Gumby. It was a clay animation (called Claymation back then) show from the 60s/70s for kids. :D

That's impressive!! My VD3 3000 could do no better than 217Mhz before locking up in 3DMark tests - no matter how agressive the active cooling.

FYI - o/c apps for the VD3's does both core and mem. Can't do it separately (as far as I know). For normal windows usage, there's absolutely no diffs in perf. But quite a bit in heat output. I have mine underclocked to 130Mhz... I got no air cond in my room. :)

                    well, it SAYS it's @ 220 mhz.....

i have yet to run 3dmark, when i do, i'l post the results
but i don't think there's gonna be much difference - i just don't see it

Sadly in most cases you won't notice any difference, though some games may run a little smoother, with the naked eye but it's in the benchmarks that any difference will be shown. ;)

220mhz?...dang!!!, highest i got was like 176...thats no cooling whatsoever though...

voodoos are sync'd...so mem and core are the same

Yeah, the card and rest of the system remains fine but soon develops a 'user overheating' condition. ;) And i've only got a Cumine!
