    CPU Fan Speed Issue on 890GX Extreme MD

    Greetings All,
    Just upgraded my system from an ASRock M3A785GXH/128M with a AMD X4 to an ASRock 890GX Extreme 3 with AMD 1100T X6. I migrated my Zelman CNPS9900LED processor fan. I can't change the speed on the processor fan from either the BIOS or from the OC Tuner.
    The fan worked fine on the old ASRock MB but will only run at a speed or 2008 RPM no matter what I do. Another seemly unrelated issue but may not be is I don't get a CPU temp when using the AMD overdirve software. I can see all 6 cores but no temp.
    I trying to find out if the motherboard is defective.

    Since its an ASRock board, you might want to try the dedicated forum from their own staff here on tweaktown. Its at the top or follow this link: http://forums.tweaktown.com/asrock/

        Strangely the fan speed control via the ASRock overclocking software started working ASRock 890GX Extreme 3. AMD Phenon II X6 1100 CPU
