  • Asus P8P67 Deluxe with a SIIG IDE Controller Card Socket 1155

I hope you all can help me. I am almost to the point of no return, these new socket 1155 motherboards with the REV3 are not being produced with IDE support at all. Only the new ASRock Fatality 1 Pro has IDE for 2 devices. I need to know if the SIIG SC-PE4B12-S4, with the Sil680 will work in these motherboards, or are they motherboard dependant at all, I know they work with Windows 7 64 bit, because I have one running persectly right now with four Optical drives all IDE. My problem is that I bought a closeout of BenQ drives, all with IDE, and people want them, they are great Optical drives, all with the Nexperia chipset, I use them as needed, I like them also. I just need to know if they will work with the SIIG SC-PE4B12-S4 controller card in a PCI slot.
If anyone can help me I would be really appreciate it.

    Hello Alan

The card you are referring to should work without any problems on the P67 boards and has worked great on every ASUS board I have seated it on.

I would try it for you now but I sold my 980X system with my 680 IDE card on it and have not received a replacement for it as of yet.
