  • XP install uses two drives?

I've been running an update install of XP for months, trouble free but slow. Decided to do a clean install prior to going through the tweaking guide.

Install worked fine, but I now have a WINDOWS folder, a Program Files folder and a Documents and settings folder on my E drive (a seperate hard disk) as well as on my C drive. Its annoying as all hell as I wanted less files not more.

Can anyone tell me why that happened, and how I can get rid of the E drive files. The system wont let me.

maybe when ya did the clean install it wanted to install to e: and you didnt notice and clicked next, if you try to install windows when you already have it installed it tries to install it elsewhere so you end up with 2 copies

You could be right there. Thanks.

Question is, if I do the clean install again, will I lose the second version or is it going to hang around?
