REVO X2 and X58A-UD7 F8?

Hello all! :)
I am new here - wanted to ask for some advice on X58A-UD7 rev1.0 and my new 240GB Revo x2.
I have upgraded bios to F8 hoping to be done with all beta files but it seems that Gigabyte has removed it from the download site and F7 is the latest one again...
Could someone please advise me what version should I use ( I have some betafiles saved)
for the best Revo x2 performance?
Any idea what PCIex slot should I use? Have only 1 video card in the first x16 slot.

Mobo: X58A-UD7 v.1
BIOS: F8
CPU: i7 EXTR. 975 @ 3.33 GHz H2O
RAM: 6GB A-DATA DDR3 1600G
Vid: GTX 470 H2O
HDD: Revo X2 240GB
Chipset: X58 rev13 (ICH10R)
OS: WIN 7 64-bit_SP1

Did you test F8 when it was published, or are you using it now?

If you need it I can send to you, or just use the older beta's until a new BIOS is posted. You can continue to use F8 if you like, I've been using it and haven't seen any issues, nor have a heard why it was pulled yet either.

If your graphics card is in the main slot PCIEx16_1, then you can use PCIEx16_2 or PCIEx8_2 for your Revo card

I am on the F8 now but had problems with the first install of my Revo card - so after Gigabyte removed it from the download site I was suspecting F8 of potential conflicts with Revo. Got it installed today again - and I am watching it with my fingers crossed :)

Nice to hear you eventually got it installed, and that was with F8 too right? Not sure why they pulled it, but I think they pulled many BIOSes across various boards for some reason.

Nice, ya I haven't ran into any issues either!

Not sure why they pulled so many BIOSes last week? PCIE overclocking eh, just use setFSB and crank it up until it is unstable, with your array backed up of course, then once you find where it's unstable set 1-3 below that in the BIOS and you should be good to go.

Why you overclocking PCIE anyway, higher SSD scores? I can bench SSD's up to about 120, but depending on the controller it may need to go down to at least 115 or so (Some can handle 120+)

Yes, I want to bench that new Revo as much as I can, but never before I played with
clocking PCIe - so I am new at it. All info out there refers to overclocking video cards, but I guess I will just go slowly higher on that PCIe settings like you suggested. Will see what happens :)

Haha, I thought so! Ya, 110-120+ will give you some decent bumps in scores. I'm not sure how that will affect PCIE SSD, but it may be better than normal SSD, which high PCIE gives me a good jump in scores.

Good luck testing, and be sure to let us know how the speeds compare with stock PCIE!
