  • P8P67-M, Rev3 boot order

I have just loaded win7 64bit on a new SATA drive with the above board. After installation of drivers, making sure it worked etc I then added other SATA HDDs from my old machine.

Everything is looking good but the new drive (the only bootable one) does not appear on any of the list of choices for boot order preference. I can choose my USB stick another HDD or even my printer but not the HDD with windows on it!

The only way I can boot is by pressing F8 and then selecting the correct drive.

Any way to force this drive onto one of the options so that it boots straight to it?

    Thanks.

Try loading optimized defaults and re enter BIOS settings,if it still won't show up disconnect the other drives and see if it shows up then set as first boot device and add the other drives,

Does the drive show up in Hard Drive BBS Priorities from the Boot menu of the UEFI?

Thanks Wazza, disconnecting all the other drives and then re-connecting after setting P1 as boot seems to have done the trick. Win7 even managed to remember all the drive letters when they were reconnected!!
