  • List of parts for my new setup...

Well this is my first time building a computer so I am not TOTALLY sure all of this compatible so tell me if it isnt. I know about the AGP 8x thing with the 9700pro. The case doesnt have too many fan slots but I am probably going to make some holes in it but I am getting 2 Smart fans so that will keep the air circulating. The PSU is pretty cheap but based on the weight system for PSU it is up there. Anyway here is the list with prices/shipping and the link to where im getting them from:

I have been doing research and the sort and these products seem pretty good. The Proc is based on the new design. I bought the fan adapter so I could put the 80mm smart fan 2 in the back. The volcano 7+ is the perfect HSF for my price range. Anyway are all of these parts compatible?

I would guess that everything should work together. Should be a fine machine. I checked Pricewatch on a few of your part selections. Some of the posted prices are cheaper than the ones you have listed from the same vender. Sometimes venders have a lower price if you connect from Pricewatch.
I would consider a 300w p/s the low end for your rig. You might want to think about 350w-400w, duel-fan, namebrand.
The case description says most mobos fit. I would ask to make sure (give them the mobo dimentons).

You must have edited your post as I see now your p/s choice has changed (though the link is for the old one).

Yeah thanks bout that link... It's fixed. For all the prices I used Pricewatch and this sites Pricegrabber. I know that there are cheaper prices on pricewatch than some of the prices I have. The reason for this is that any company I saw on pricewatch I would take over to Resellerratings.com to see if they were credible. If they had a low rating and/or were not listed I didnt bother going to their site.

Have to play it safe even though it might cost a couple extra bucks.

What I meant was the same vender will have one price on their site, but may display a lower price if reach their site via Price watch. (I just checked a couple of sites that just recently had this policy, and they don't seem to be doing this anymore!). Maybe this is becoming a thing of the past. Some sites even used to make you type in Pricewatch in the "special info" section of the shopping cart page and they would adjust the higher prices displayed and send you an adjusted total.

This is just like the system that I put together, except for the case and memory.
I would maybe hold off on getting the videocard, a lot of people have been having trouble with it in 8x Agp mobo's and the Radeon 9700.....it wont work at all (Not in 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x AGP). ATI is coming out with a new one @ the 24 that should work fine with the mobos (At least that was what I understood from Rage3d forums). It is annoying. but I would be more annoyed if I ordered a $350 vc and it did not work
            .

Other than that, I like the rig!:thumb:

Yeah I already knew about that agp thing with the vid card. I am going to order all the case parts this weekend, then the other things a week later. So I probably wouldnt be ordering that card for 2 weeks or so anyway :).
