Hey folks,

Just a quick update for you all here - we have finally got the much requested PC Specs full-down menu added to our forums!

When you register you have the option to add your PC specs or if you are already registered you can visit your user profile page at http://forums.tweaktown.com/profile.php?do=editprofile and add in your specs.

The pull-down menu is located near your name above your forum post.

Enjoy!

PC Specs pull down menu bug report:
When I click on your PC Specs in post #2, the listing appears as a drop down list from post #1 :nono:

I wonder how this will work when we click on the PC Specs tab near the middle or end of the page and it is not the first post from that member on the page :uhh:

Yeah having the same problem here also. When clicking PC specs from 2nd post it shows PC specs from post1.

Also I have 2 drives listed in my specs and it is only showing the first drive.

New bug:
Now when I click on a PC Stats menu, I get a small pop up error window.
When I close the window, ALL PC Stats menus on the page are displayed for all users.
Arrrrg!!!

Ed - are you happy with the spec fields? Any others you think we need?

Only thing I could suggest is more space for people with custom water cooling, so we could list cpu block type, pump, rad and so forth.

Looks good Cam, thanks! I agree with Acebmxer above, maybe add a few optional entries for water cooling, instead of just cooler section. Although I suppose we could try to fit all our water setups into the one cooler section?

Having trouble setting mine. Tried the other day and it didn't save it. Thought random error and just tried entering it all again. I press save, it tells me it has, but it doesn't. (Using FireFox 11 atm). It did save the other changes to my profile though, as I changed occupation a little as well.

[edit]
same thing with safari, doesn't save the changes made to the PC specs

It seems there is a issue with the PC specs pull-down menu. Users are not able to create the PC specs, along with users not being able to edit their settings. Once you click save it say's settings are saved when actually they are not saved. I have tested and tried to edit my settings and they were not saved. I tried with Google Chrome and Firefox 3.5, I dont think its a web browser problem but more of a site problem.

For those having issues I suggest everyone use the Forum sig in the mean time until the PC specs are fixed.

PM has been sent to the forum admins.
I requested that they post a system message that acknowledges the problem and that they are working on a fix.
