I am not 100% sure what the actual issue is, but just built my brother his computer with a ASRock Z75 Pro 3 and Intel i5 2500k processor. I wanted to use his hard drive from his old computer but everytime I turn it on the windows xp screen shows for a few seconds then blue screens. I then though maybe ill just attempt to reformat and re-install windows, once i get in the install it says no hard drive detected. In the bios it shows my hard drive with the system viewer, so it does recognize there is a hard drive. Also its nothing to do with the hard drive itself or the cord, i tried 5 different hdds and different cords etc. Is there maybe something wrong with the mobo or any advise would be greatly appreciated!
