GUYS iam confused which motherboard i have to go for

01 - Asus Z77 Sabertooth
02 - Gigabyte z77x-Ud5

i wanna overclock both Cpu's and Rams
which mobo is compitable for best overclocking

Every model has its good points and not so good points.
Read some motherboard reviews from the best web sites to see which board best meets your needs for features and overclocking.
It's also important to consider online forum support for overclocking help.
I'd rather buy a "second place" motherboard with an excellent support forum rather than a slightly "better" motherboard that doesn't offer top notch support.

if you want better support regarding servicing/repairs then id choose the gigabyte (sorry asus),asus make great boards but the customer service needs alot of improvement imo

i think asus 277 will be the best one because every one know that asus made the best motherboard now a days. i will recommend you asus & without any hasitation you can buy it.

No one can say ASUS makes the best boards, just check their forums, or any other board manufacture, for complaints. Every complaint will NOT be valid, some are user error or crazy expectations. The ASUS boards I have are generally very good, with a few odd exceptions.

My ASUS SaberTooth P67, and some of their other P67 boards, have a wake from Sleep issue, it fails. Never fixed to this day. Then some users complained the CPU temp was to high when using the UEFI. It really wasn't, for many reasons, but stock CPU cooler users with cheap cases complained. In a BIOS/UEFI update, ASUS changed the CPU temp display to show another sensor, which reads lower. I updated to that UEFI, and suddenly at idle I has sub-room temperature CPU temps. I had good cooling, but 10C idle temps on a i7-2600K? Third party hardware monitors showed the correct CPU temp (some showed both!)

Other users noticed it too, I posted a thread about in the main ASUS forum. I sent them a support ticket about it, acknowledged but never heard from them again. That temp reading may sound like no big deal, but when your CPU temp reads ~10C lower at all times, you tell me what might happen. The sad part is, many users believed it was a true "fix". Yeah, my CPU cooler mounting and case cooling must be so good, that the single digit (8C -9C) idle temps I saw in the ASUS utility in winter must be correct.

Things like that add up and change your opinion of a company. It makes you wonder what else is going on that you don't know about. It's about a thing called trust.

I was not impressed with the ASUS forums, and IMO their direct support was poor too. ASRock products are new to me, so far so good, but a third party forum only is not impressive. Can't speak about Gigabyte, haven't used their boards lately, I didn't like their BIOS or fan control software in the past, could be better now (it could only go up IMO.)

The oldest board I have that still works and is still in use: An ECS.

That's easy, none of them. No company is perfect, they all have some bad boards, and some good boards. One manufacture may be better in one area, another in a different area.

I've owned boards made by ASRock, ASUS, ECS, Gigabyte, and Intel. None of them were bad, they all still work, except the one I know I broke.

My Intel board, from the socket 775 days, could boot from a PCIe SATA card when many boards still won't. It had Dolby Digital surround sound decoding, and the audio was the least noisy of any board I've used. But its fan speed control software was terrible, BIOS settings only. It also had some flaky BIOS issues with some earlier versions. It would not OC worth a darn.

My first ASUS board has the worlds slowest POST, regardless of what I did to change it. It is finicky about any changes in connection to the board, even moving fans or SATA cables would cause it to not boot until I cleared the CMOS. OTOH, it is issue free when operating, can Sleep for days and wake perfectly, solid as can be. My second ASUS board cannot wake from Sleep to save its life, the only board I've used that does that. Otherwise, I love that board. I did not love the way ASUS changed the CPU temperature reading in a BIOS update for that board, so it would read lower. That makes me wonder what else is not right.

The Gigabyte board was a good buy for the feature is has. The BIOS made sense and just worked fine. Seemed to be constructed very well for its price. Never caused any problems for me. The included software is poor IMO, fan speed control is a joke, mainly because the attempt was so bad. Any OC of CPU or memory that was the tiniest bit to much, and the board would go insane, and a CMOS clear was required to get it working.

I haven't had the ASRock board for long, but I like it so far, and it was cheap with all the features is has, and cost much less than the equivalent of the others. It's the fastest POSTing board I've had. Has given me no grief at all. The fan control software is not bad, I've used better (ASUS) but it is slow to respond in automatic mode for the CPU cooler fan. As if it is asleep and finally wakes up. ASRock does not have a support forum of their own, which is just plain weird, and makes them look amateurish.

Those comments just scratch the surface of the good and bad of all of them.
