Asus battery ml31-1005

I have an Asus mini with a brand new battery ml31-1005, it wont charge the battery. I read in other forums that the battery needs to be uninstaled from the computer in order to be recognized an then be charged. The problem is that when I notice that it was not charging the battery was fully drained and I dont know what to do to charge it. I browse for battery pinout to charge it externally withou lucky. I hope someone experiece something like this an found a solution.
