  • Bluescreening?

    Hey guys,

We don't really have a CGI forum per se, so I just thought I'd whack it here...

Does anyone here know anything about creating your own blue/green/red screen for CGI / seen any articles/sites that might be helpful?

    Cheers,

    -Osiris

I've seen a couple ways of doing it, depending on what you are actually using to do the bluescreening part (software / hardware, etc...)

You can actually buy a special blue / green screen paint which you can use to paint a wall / piece of canvas / whatever. I've seen some people use old sheets, and use something like Adobe Premiere to specify which color they want to remove... Just depends how inventive you are.

I'm fine with the actual processing part of it, I was just wondering what materials/lighting to use for the actual bluescreen... but it's OK, I think I've figured it out :).

:o Actually I was going to put together a blue screening demo by using Adobe Premiere and doing screen captures along the way, but it seems I no longer have any of my blue or green backdrop scenes left on my comp...But when I first started editing with Premiere this site was very helpful...

CGI comes under Web Development, moving to that forum now.
