  • Deathgrip is loosening

Aight I'm buckling down. Bought the personal edition of RedHat Linux 8.0. I WILL LEARN IT.

Windows is getting more and more on my bad side with each passing day. Palladium.. SP1.. its just not something I can brush aside anymore.

If you guys don't mind, I'll prob'ly be asking for a lot of help.. that is assuming I can get a PPPoE connection going within Linux.

What desktop enviro do you guys recommend? Also, I've heard good things about Wine's ability to use windows progs in Linux (especially RHL).

Try KDE also, you may like mandrake 9 better than redhat...

Right now, Gnome 2.0.2 is the goods. Alot of features and options KDE should really have.

      But (theres always a but)
KDE3.1 is due out in a few weeks. From the screenshots that Bern has been leaving all over the joint and other reviews/previews ive read, its looking like a definate download.
