  • Thoroughbred cores revision 2

Do the xp2200 chips that are for sale at this time in AUS
have the Thoroughbred cores revision 2. I believe these chips run cooler with more headroom for O/Cing than the origional Thoroughbreds
    :?:

I beleive that XP2200 is the original revision of the thouroughbred. The newer revision is for the 2400 2600 2700 and 2800. Unless of course they upgraded the 2200. If not only the newer ones have that better headroom. But either way they both have more headroom then polomino. Due to the lower required core voltage and increase in micron technology.

NO, the Rev2 is only for 2400 and up, they will not revise the 2200. Just don't buy one. Although i hear the 2800 is going to start at 350$US (DAMN!) so its kinda hard not to want to buy a lower model...

nope, the opteron is what they will call the clawhammer core made for the desktop, similiar to how they call the thoroughbred rev.b an Athlon
