  • Complectation of 3.5" internal cardreader CR-26U3

Hi. I have purchased new USB 3.0 internal cardreader from Lian-Li but in the box there was only cardreader and screws without any cable. When I asked seller about it he told me that it came from manufacturer without a cable and they don't know where to get it. So my question is it really comes without any cable, if so where I can get it? This cable is shown on product page Lian-Li Global | CR-26U3

I would be contacting Lian-Li direct if possible. If they tell you the item was shipped with a cable then it should be there.

According to Lian Li 3.5" Drive Bay Card Reader and USB 3.0 Hub : CR-26U3-B |Specialtech UK Water Cooling Shop the "B" version item is shipped from Lian-Li with a cable.
You didn't say if yours was a "B" or not.

The product page you linked also shows a cable, implying that there should be a cable included.

Yea, the couple of links I found that didn't just copy the text of the Lian-Li page did indicate that a/the cable is included.

That the seller you bought it from that indicated they didn't know where to get one from kinds miffs me. A seller that can't reference that cable seems sketchy, at best. Took me all of two minutes, HERE.

I'd exchange it with the seller until you get one that comes with the cable.

It would be hard to return, because in Russia you can byu only cases with big delay after the case was released, no accessories, so you need to buy it somewhere else with international shipping, shipping to Russia usually costs $15-40, sum it with $15 cost of cable and you can buy a new cardreader... I've purchased it on german's amazon for 42 euros, that was the lowest price I have found, and can't understand why there was no cable and the only way I can get it is to pay an extra $30-60, cardreader that costs like new case... Seller explains it like: on product page in store is only one photo with cardreader, so you get it like what you see on page. So according to sellers words there is no reason to return/refund, because product is fine.

One of my suppliers just got back to me.

Yes, it DOES come with the 20 pin plug in the box, as pictured on the Lian Li website.

If your supplier has advertised it as new, then it should include the cable.
